I’ve been working as a professional photographer for close on twenty years and this is my first feature for a US magazine – Cake & Whiskey is specifically about women in business and the experiences and journeys they’ve had. My story was about Jackie who’d been responsible for building a not for profit organisation helping young people but now has retired and has started her own business producing homemade jams and preserves. Jackie was a blast to work with and her products are fantastic – you can check out her website at www.frogandswallow.com.au .The writer Krista (Bjorn) was someone I’ve yet to meet but like myself is from a different part of the world (in Kristas case Canada) and I guess like me – drawn to this amazing landscape and climate. She has done a wonderful job with Jackies story and hopefully our paths will cross again. Its a strange feeling that Ive been published in the states but no-one here will probably get to see it! ah well “such is life”
