Had the absolute pleasure to photograph Mrs Jean Harslet for my portrait exhibition. An amazing lady who among other things is an expert on native Australian plants / insects and is also an author with several published books under her belt. Add to this her amazing knowledge of local history and her collections of historical artefacts, she was an inspiration to be around and wish I could have stayed longer. These are the first two to get the “treatment” – the second one may have been over-cooked? not sure if this is as far as I’d like to go with this technique. I’ll put some more up in the future. Oh! and the moth she’s holding is the biggest in the world and found in north Queensland – which I’m happy for it to stay!…
